Christmas Page - January Scrapclub

Here is what we made at Scrapclub last week. As always, we had such a fun evening, coffee, brownies and Rocky Road cakes supplied by the lovely Teresa. It was great to see so many different takes on the page, as everyone's photo's are of course so varied. As you can see, we cut around the huge snowflake, altered some super snowflake vellum, and secured some tulle and a charm. Added a stamped journalling circle on a QK Bauble die shape, punched out some circles and QK Snowflakes and finished off with some QK Jacqueline letters, some turquiose jewels and a big turquoise brad. February's Scrapclub theme is a 'Family Tree' page, and is on Wednesday, 25th February, between 7 -9pm. If you want to book a place, please call 01293 863576. Thanks for looking, Heidi xxx

Feeling Pawley...

This was the card we made in Create & Take on Friday using the new 'Don't forget me' stamp from LeLo. This is a great stamp for putting any message you like. We have also used some wide brown organza ribbon and tulle to finish it off.

Wednesday Evening's Calendar Class

Evening all.

It's my turn to post something on the blog so I thought I'd show you all the class I taught on Wednesday evening.

Back in November we had a class to make December's page for the Making Memories calendar. This class was to be done by our very talented Wendy Horrod but due to the dreaded bugs that float around she was ill and unable to take it. So me in my infinite wisdom (oh do I wish I actually had some) suggested to Paula that we shouldn't cancel it but do it ourselves. So between us (Paula designing the page and me taking the class) we managed to get it done (image to follow). Everyone enjoyed it and asked if it would be possible to make this class a regular thing. So we decided that once a month we'd hold a class to make the following months' page. As we didn't have much time in December it was left that everyone would all do their own January page.

This is the page that I designed for February. It's using the Cricut Expression, 4 different cartridges and a Revolution die.

I used the Paper Doll Dress Up Cartridge to make the two little people and the little cherub. I love that little cherub he's sooooo cute!!! The large and small hearts were cut using George and Basic Shapes. The letters at the beginning of Happy Valentine's Day were cut with the Storybook Cartridge and the rest of the letters were cut using Plantain Schoolbook. The flourish was cut with Quickutz REV 0024 flourish.

I will get a picture of December's page for you all to see and i'll finish off designing January's page and get pictures of that too.

Rodney the Robot

I forgot to post these cards before christmas. We used these new robot stamps in a Create & Take class and I find them great for boys cards. Also the Best Wishes is on special offer for only 99p while stocks last.

I wanted to share a card I have made using some super new stamps that recently came into the shop, I have paper pieced the owl's eyes and tummy. The stamps from 'Sandylion' were designed by 'Kelly Panacci'. I have used two different stamp sets, 'Twit-Twoo' and 'Punctuation'. These great little sets are only £9.99. The double-sided paper used was 'Nonsense - Jingle Jangle' by 'We R Memory Keepers, these papers are priced from 69p. An orange scalloped edge card (49p each) and some 'Doodlebug' pastel jewels at £2.49. All products are in-store now, some prices may vary. I hope you enjoy playing with these stamps as much as I did. Hugs Heidi xxx
