Our next Create & Take that we are sharing today features another Marianne die set from the March collection and also a sentiment stamp from Kaisercraft's Wildflower collection.

Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads in Peeled Paint, Mowed Lawn, Tumbled Glass, Tea Dye and Walnut Stain.

Core'dinations King's Crown 12x12 Glitter Cardstock

Instructions:

1. Die cut and emboss the large frame from light fawn cardstock.

2. Die cut circle from white card, stamp wording onto circle with black ink and add pen detail around the edge.

3. Die cut the branch and bird from white cardstock and colour with distress inks.

4. Die cut several flowers from cream/light yellow cardstock and then punch smaller flowers from gold glitter card.

5. Cut a piece of paper 5.75 x 5.75 inches and stick to the card base.

6. Assemble the card as shown.

Instructions:

1. Stamp the Penny Black image onto white card and die cut with an oval die. Colour with watercolour pencils.

2. Die cut the Spring-tastic frame from red cardstock. Adhere the stamped image onto the red frame.

3. Add some Wink of Stella onto the edges of the frame to add some soft glittery shimmer.

4. Cut a strip of paper and stick to the centre of the card base.

5. Stick the floral frame onto the card base.

6. Stamp wording onto kraft card with black ink and then ink the edge of the kraft card with white ink using a dauber.

7. Die cut two small flowers from white card and add some red gems to the centers of the flowers.

Add some tulle around the top of the card and tie in a bow.

Hi bloggers, this week's Create & Take has been created using the gorgeous Taylored Expressions Garden Party Background stamp using a resist effect with clear embossing powder.

Circle Punches ( from Caz's stash)

Instructions:

1. Stamp Taylored Expressions background stamp with Versamark ink pad and cover with clear embossing powder and shake off the excess. Heat with a heat tool until melted.

2. Cover the circle with a small piece of paper and ink around the rest of the design with Tumbled Glass using a sponge dauber. The embossed areas will create a resist effect which will remain white.

3. Die cut the flower border from blue cardstock.

4. Stamp flower image onto white card and colour with pencils. Cut around the edge and stick into place on card.

5. Stamp wording onto white card and cut out using a circle die or punch. Cut a slightly bigger scalloped circle from yellow card and stick together.

6. Assemble card as shown.

The resist effect is a great alternative from the traditional stamping methods and can be changed up using different colours.

Happy New Year Bloggers! Welcome to another year of Create & Take reviews on the blog and today we start the year with a fabulous shaker card designed by Caz.

Instructions:

1. Use the Spring-tastic Foliage die set to die cut flowers in different Bazzill colours. Edge and shape the two largest flowers.

2. Create a frame from Chiffon 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 inches using the 1 inch frame mark. Stick a piece of acetate behind this and edge the outside edge with ink.

3. Create a smaller frame from Kachina cardstock 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches using 1/4 inch mark and stick in place.

4. Stick 3D foam around end of biggest frame at the back making sure there are no gaps.

5. Add 2 pinches of cut pieces of card, 2 pinches of diamond dust and if you want to punch some mini daisies, add these too.

6. Take off liner of tape and stick piece of card behind to trap the shaker pieces.

7. Cut a piece of patterned paper 5-1/8 x 5-1/8 inches and stick onto card base.

8. Die cut banner, stamp wording and fold into desired shape. Stick banner onto card.

9. Assemble flower pieces in bottom left corner of the card.

Shaker cards are so much fun to make and add movement and dimension to your cards!

Stickles - in colour of your choice

Instructions:

1. Die cut Marianne Lace Doily from white cardstock and the doily background from Bazzill Green Tea.

2. Stamp the bear and flowers in black ink. Colour with watercolour pencils. Stamp the leaves using Shabby Shutters ink pad.

3. Place the die cut back into the die and use embossing mats to add embossed detail through your die cuting machine.

4. Adhere the white decorated doily onto the green background.

5. Emboss the leaves on a piece of Heidi coloured cardstock. Swipe with a white ink pad. Adhere to the bottom of the inside of the card.

6. Fold the front of the card in half to create an easel card and adhere the decorated panel on it.

7. Die cut the banner and stamp sentiment.

8. Fold banner and stick at the bottom of the card. Add flowers and use glitter glue to finish.

This design of card is a great alternative to a traditional card blank and with the characters included in the Stampendous Spring Short Stack you can create cards for many different occasions.

Bazzill Basics cardstock in Blue, Cream and Kraft

Authentique Durable Cardstock - Reliable Ticking Stripe/ Muted Mini Dot

Instructions:

1. Die cut the Diorama from blue cardstock and fold to create a gatefold card.

2. Cut a piece of cream cardstock to measure 4 x 4 inches and stencil some dots on top left and bottom right on the cardstock using blue ink and a sponge dauber.

3. Stamp the cat, fish bone, ball of wool and wording with black ink and colour with pencils.

4. Stamp the parcel and hat on separate card, colour and cut around and stick in place.

5. Cut a piece of Kraft cardstock to measure 4.5 x 4.5 inches (or use die in Diorama die set) and stick this inside the card. Stick the stamped piece of cardstock on top.

6. Cut two pieces of spotted paper using the dies from the Diorama die set and stick to the front of the card.

7. Die cut ornate piece from Diorama die set from cream cardstock and stick to one side of the front of the card. Die cut a scalloped circle and smaller circle, add a stamped sentiment and stick on top.

8. Finish by accenting the card with some Stickles glitter glue.

Gatefold cards make a great change from the usual card blanks and this Diorama Gatefold card die set from Sizzix is an excellent set that includes all the extra die pieces you need to complete your card.

Hi bloggers, it's a lovely start to the week here in Charlwood with clear blue skies and what better way to start the week than by summing up last week's Create & Take which the design is perfect for such a sunny day.

Instructions:

1. Using a square folded card, die cut a large scalloped circle to make a folded card.

2. Die cut various sizes of circles from the different patterned papers.

3. Stamp the Meadow flower image onto a white die cut circle and colour with watercolour pencils. Add some Tumbled Glass distress ink around the edge using a sponge dauber.

4. Die cut a butterfly from white cardstock and colour with Abandoned Coral distress ink. Die cut the butterfly from silver cardstock and cut around the body to stick on top of the inked butterfly.

5. Stamp the Happy Birthday sentiment onto a small circle die cut.

6. Assemble the card as shown, finishing the card by adding some silver stickles and a iridescent bubble to the centre of a flower.

Happy Monday bloggers! Today we have an excellent Create & Take card using a new Karen Burniston die and Memory Box stamp set.

So let's get started.....

Instructions:-

1. Cut a piece of Blue Ombre cardstock to measure 4.75 x 10 inches and fold in half to create a 4.75 x 5 inch card.

2. Align the centre of the Pop It Up die to the centre fold line of the card and cut through. At the same time you could also die cut two clouds from the top part of the blue cardstock.

3. Cut a piece of the Collective Herringbone cardstock to 5 x 2 inches.

4. Stick the blue cardstock inside a card blank making sure the pop up part is forward. For this card, we used the wider part of the pop up to lean out from the card. Stick the Collective Herringbone cardstock inside the card.

5. Die cut all pieces for the balloon, double up the layers to strengthen the balloon. 

6. Stamp the bunny, colour with watercolour pencils cut around and then stick in place to look like the bunny is is the balloon basket.

7. Stick the balloon in place on the pop up part inside the card.

8. Decorate the front of the card with some patterned paper, another stamped bunny and a sentiment using the Woodware stamp set.

Hi bloggers, today we are catching up on another Create & Take, this time a card for the birthday girl using a new stamp from Stamping Bella.

So let's get started:

Instructions:

1. Stamp the image onto white cardstock measuring 2.5 x 5 inches and colour with watercolour pencils. Using a sponge dauber, lightly swipe some tumbled glass ink around the edges.

2. Cut a piece of Juneberry cardstock to measure 2.75 x 5 inches. Mount the stamped image onto this cardstock.

3. Cut a piece of Maja paper to measure 5 x 5 inches.

4. Cut a piece of white smoothie to measure 2.5 x 5 inches and run through the die cutting machine with the Paris edge die.

5. Stick the patterned paper to the base of the card.

6. Stamp the wording onto a small piece of white cardstock with black ink. Swipe some Wilted Violet around the edges of the card. Punch out a small daisy flower from white cardstock and use Wilted Violet to colour the flower.

7. Assemble the card as shown and add some glitter glue to finish.

Birthday cards

Here are some of the beautiful handmade cards that friends and family made for me for my birthday this week. I have done nothing but go out for meals and eat cakes all week, so the diet has definately gone out of the window! But it has been good!!!!!! My mum also made me a lovely "40th" Album which I will post tomorrow.
