Create & Take: Resist Flower

Hi bloggers, this week's Create & Take has been created using the gorgeous Taylored Expressions Garden Party Background stamp using a resist effect with clear embossing powder.

Products Used:

Circle Punches ( from Caz's stash)

Instructions:

1. Stamp Taylored Expressions background stamp with Versamark ink pad and cover with clear embossing powder and shake off the excess. Heat with a heat tool until melted.

2. Cover the circle with a small piece of paper and ink around the rest of the design with Tumbled Glass using a sponge dauber. The embossed areas will create a resist effect which will remain white.

3. Die cut the flower border from blue cardstock.

4. Stamp flower image onto white card and colour with pencils. Cut around the edge and stick into place on card.

5. Stamp wording onto white card and cut out using a circle die or punch. Cut a slightly bigger scalloped circle from yellow card and stick together.

6. Assemble card as shown.

The resist effect is a great alternative from the traditional stamping methods and can be changed up using different colours.

Product Spotlight - Taylored Expressions Calendar Critters

Hi Bloggers

Back again, a little later than usual but we have been busy getting the orders out today and just ran out of time for the blog post.  But not to fear, we did not want to miss our regular Wednesday slot so its better late than never.

Today Caz has been making some projects with the Taylored Expressions Calendar Critters Rubber Stamps.   As the name implies these are perfect for making your own Calendars but work equally well as decorate for other project and you will see what Caz has done with them.

First off here are the Calendar Pages that she has made, unfortunately time restraints were in place and she only managed the first three months (apparently she had to sleep)  but I hope you can get the idea behind the pages.  The calendar was a free printable, which was printed onto white copy paper and cut down.  Mounted onto pieces of 6 x 6 card and decorated with various dies.  These could be used individually, bound with the Zutter Bind it all or bound with Book Rings.

A frosty blue page for January, with this funny little Penguin.

This cute little dog holding the cutest little heart is perfect for February.

Spring is on our mind with this adorable little lamb!

**************************************************************

Now onto a few more projects that Caz made.

These two little boxes were made with the WRMK Candy Box Punch Board

This one was made with a piece of paper measuring 7" x 7"
This one is a lovely size for a table gift for the Christmas Table

And this one was made with paper measuring 4" x 7"
Perfect size for a ferrero rocher chocolate (*to give you an idea of the size)
Add a ribbon hanger and these would be perfect hanging off the tree.

Of course both have been decorated with the Calendar Cuties

Last up a fun little card.  Caz wanted to play with the new
papers from the WRMK High Five Collection.  The florals on it
inspired her to create this fun and flowery Birthday Card with
some summery images and punched out flowers.

There is a die set that matches these Calendar Cuties, and as an extra treat you'll find the die set in the clearance section so grab a bargain and save yourself fussy cutting these stamps.
The dies can be found HERE

Until next week, keep on Crafting!

Create & Take: Lavender Bouquet

Hi bloggers! We hope you have had a creative weekend! Today we want to share with you last week's Create & Take by Caz using the new Taylored Expressions stamp and die set, complimented by some lovely lavender cardstock and use of watercolour pencils. So let's get started....

Products Used:

Square Kraft Card Blank
Kraft cardstock
Lilac Dew Drops
Watercolour Brush

Instructions:

1. Stamp the Lavender Bouquet image onto white card and cut around using the matching die included in the set. Colour the image with watercolour pencils.

2. Cut a piece of white card to 9.5cm x 9.5cm and use the Xcut Large Corner Rounder punch on all four corners.

3. Cut a piece of Wild Pansy cardstock 11.5cm x 11.5cm and emboss using the Cable Knit embossing folder. Use the Xcut Corner Rounder punch on all four corners.

4. Cut a piece of kraft cardstock 1" x 1". Use the craft pick to make holes down the left side of the cardstock and use a white pencil to add faux stitching.

5. Die cut the Tied Line from kraft cardstock.

6. Assemble all elements onto the card as shown in the picture above.

7. Add a dew drop to the centre of the knot in the Tied Line die cut.

8. Finish by adding some Stickles glitter glue to the flowers.

We love how simple and effective this card design is and can easily be interchangeable with some of the other stamp and matching die sets offered by Taylored Expressions. The colours in this card make it perfect for a Spring birthday or Thank you card!

Sack It Treats!

Hi bloggers! It's the end of another week and we have a little treat to share with you! New in this week are the Taylored Expressions sack it dies in the form of a reindeer, snowman and penguin.
Caz whipped us up an example of the Snowman sack it which has been decorated beautifully with a marvellous treat to fill the inside.

Now before you rush off to snap up some of these dies, please remember that you will also need the main sack it die which has the die cut for the treat bag itself.

These treat bags are perfect for the festive season as table favours on Christmas Day or a Christmas treat for friends and family!
