Instructions:

1. Die cut and emboss the large frame from light fawn cardstock.

2. Die cut circle from white card, stamp wording onto circle with black ink and add pen detail around the edge.

3. Die cut the branch and bird from white cardstock and colour with distress inks.

4. Die cut several flowers from cream/light yellow cardstock and then punch smaller flowers from gold glitter card.

5. Cut a piece of paper 5.75 x 5.75 inches and stick to the card base.

6. Assemble the card as shown.

Instructions:

1. Die cut a label from white cardstock and stamp the Hetty's border with black ink. Colour with watercolour pencils.

2. Die cut a small lily pad twice from green card and edge with some green distress ink, whilst also adding a bit of white ink to the centre of each lily pad. Die cut the lily flower from white card, emboss and then colour with pink distress ink.

3. Stamp the frog onto white card and colour with watercolour pencils. Cut out.

4. Cut a square piece of blue bazzill and stamp round the edges with Crealies mesh stamp using a blue distress ink pad.

5. Cut two thin strips of Maholo paper to go along the top and bottom edge.

6. Die cut the dragonfly from white card and colour with ink, cut body from brown cardstock and stick into place. Add shimmer, using the clear wink of stella brush.

7. Assemble the card as shown.

Instructions:

1. Stamp vegetable garden stamp onto white cardstock and colour with watercolour pencils.

2. Stick green strip onto white card and use a scor-bug to scor either side of the paper to create a line of dots.

3. Stick a piece of patterned paper onto white card blank.

4. Die cut the large XL tag from pink cardstock and place behind stamped image.

5. Stamp butterfly onto circle and colour with pencils, edge with a bit of blue ink.

6. Choose 3 flowers from the punch die and shape around the edge. Add some glitter glue to the inside of the flowers and stick onto the card.

7. Stamp wording onto green paper to finish.

Instructions:

1. Die cut seed pocket envelope from Lunar paper and assemble. Fold along the creases carefully so you do not crack the folds.

2. Cut a piece of Vintage paper to create a pocket at the bottom of the card.

3. Add a strip of Awesome paper to the right hand side.

4. Die cut the following:- Flowers from yellow Bazzill, Vine from Silver Mirri, Small sign from Walnut Cream, Tiny flowers from Bazzill White, Flower pot from Kraft card, Tools from Kraft and Silver Mirri.

5. Edge around the different die cut pieces as you desire using Vintage Photo distress ink.

6. Edge around the card blank with Vintage Photo distress ink. Stamp the Mesh design onto the card blank and assemble the card as shown above.

Tim Holtz Distress Inkpads in Peeled Paint, Shabby Shutters, Abandoned Coral and Fossilized Amber

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of Chiffon cardstock to fit the base of the card. Use the Marianne die with an embossing mat through your die cutting machine to emboss the die onto the cardstock. Edge the card with the Fossilized Amber ink pad.

2. Cut the Meadow Butterfly die twice from white cardstock. On one of the cut out pieces colour the leaves with Shabby Shutters. On the other piece colour the flowers with Abandoned Coral. Cut the flowers out and stick in place over the die cut with the green leaves.

3. Using the Meadow Butterfly die again, die cut from Gold Glitter cardstock and cut round the butterfly and stick in place.

4. Punch out some flowers from gold glitter cardstock and stick on the card as pictured above.

5. Stamp the wording onto some white card using Peeled Paint ink and punch out with a circle punch and stick onto the card.

This card is simple but very effective and we love how Caz used the Marianne die to emboss the design into the cardstock which gives us even more ways to use our die cutting stash!

Happy New Year Bloggers! Welcome to another year of Create & Take reviews on the blog and today we start the year with a fabulous shaker card designed by Caz.

Instructions:

1. Use the Spring-tastic Foliage die set to die cut flowers in different Bazzill colours. Edge and shape the two largest flowers.

2. Create a frame from Chiffon 4-3/4 x 4-3/4 inches using the 1 inch frame mark. Stick a piece of acetate behind this and edge the outside edge with ink.

3. Create a smaller frame from Kachina cardstock 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches using 1/4 inch mark and stick in place.

4. Stick 3D foam around end of biggest frame at the back making sure there are no gaps.

5. Add 2 pinches of cut pieces of card, 2 pinches of diamond dust and if you want to punch some mini daisies, add these too.

6. Take off liner of tape and stick piece of card behind to trap the shaker pieces.

7. Cut a piece of patterned paper 5-1/8 x 5-1/8 inches and stick onto card base.

8. Die cut banner, stamp wording and fold into desired shape. Stick banner onto card.

9. Assemble flower pieces in bottom left corner of the card.

Shaker cards are so much fun to make and add movement and dimension to your cards!

Instructions:

1. Stamp Little Snowy onto a die cut circle and colour with watercolour pencils. Edge the circle with Vintage Photo distress ink.

2. Die cut the wreath from white card and gold glitter card. Snip one of the wreaths and intertwine it with the other.

3. Die cut greenery and cones from green and brown card.

4. Cut a strip of Glittered Merry cardstock to fit the width of the card blank.

5. Stick down Snowy and the wreath and then add the greenery and cones around it.

6. Die cut the bow from red cardstock, snip the tails to put into position and add this to the bottom of the wreath.

7. Edge the rest of the card with Vintage Photo distress ink.

8. Add a bit of glitter glue to finish.

NEW Product Spotlight - Marianne Pillow Box

Hi Crafters

Its Caz back again with this Wednesdays NEW Product Spotlight and I hope you enjoyed last weeks look at the Mini Alphabet Punch Boards.

This week I am taking a look at the Marianne Pillow Box set.  I must say I am rather partial to making 3d items, and boxes are my favourite and this time of year I can see  many uses for them.  From decorating the tree, place settings and gift gifting ideas.  These boxes are perfect for small gifts like jewelry, and also a novel way of gift giving someone money or a gift card.

Here is a look at the die set itself, so as well as the wonderful Pillow Box you also get 9 other dies that you can use to decorate your Pillow Boxes or other projects.  The assembled Pillow Box measures from the longest point to longest point 11cm.  If you measure midway (where to box curves inwards) it is 8.5cm.  It is 7.2cm wide and approx 3cm deep on the deepest part.

Decoration ideas are limitless and here are a few that I have made in the last

couple of days.  I will list underneath the items I used to decorate.

First up is this cutie with a Penny Black stamp set called Santas Helpers

Also decorated with a snipped off piece from the Marianne set called Wreath

which I cut from a piece of the Bazzill Gold Glitter Card Kings Crown

This glitter card is gorgeous to use, does not shed and die cuts like a dream.

Coloured with watercolour pencils and added Gold Glitter Glue.

How cute would this look on your Christmas Table with a tag with your

guests name on and filled with some delicious Christmas Treat?

Second up for my samples is a Pillow box that I decorated with an

Autumnal theme using some dies from Tonic.

Autumnal Oak Collection

I swiped the Embossed leaves with  Tonic Nuvo  Embellishment Mousse in Indian Gold

and once again I used the Bazzill Gold Glitter Card Kings Crown  for the acorn.

Owls are very popular and I love them!  Here was my simple decorated

Pillow Box made to look like an Owl.  

The wings were created by die cutting just the end parts of the pillow

box and cutting so it just left long pointed ovals.  The whole box was edged with

Distress ink and I used a old striped stamp for the owls tummy.

A scalloped Circle and Plain circle were used to create the eyes and

 some bling added to the centres.

This one was sort of my first "Failed" attempt at an owl. 

 But it turned out very funny, more chicken like and a bit wacky, 

too cute to not share!

  Someone will love him right?

For my "Chicken" I used some other dies from the Pillow Box set to decorate.

The Face and Wings are both cut from the heart that comes with the die set.

The eyelashes are from the flower, his feet are the snipped off ends of the Bow and the bow was what was left over once I cut down the ends for the feet.  How very resourceful of me :)

 My last Pillow Box and on this one I used the heart from the 

Pillow Box Die set to create a Acetate Window.

I then die cut the Marianne Wreath from the  Bazzill Gold Glitter Card Kings Crown

Cut it apart added glue to it and then stuck it down around the edge of the heart.

The Brown, Green and Bird is from the same Wreath set.  

Once again I used the Embellishment Mousse in Indian Gold 

to add some interest to the die cut pieces.

I really enjoyed using this die set, there are so many other things I could have done

if I didn't have to sleep!.  I am looking forward to creating with this for Christmas Time and I 

am planning to make one for the table for each of my family.

Create & Take: Sunflower

Hi bloggers, we are starting the week off with a review of last week's Create & Take and is very appropriate for the 'sunny' week we have ahead of us in the South East of the UK.

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of stamping card 14cm x 5cm and stamp the sunflower stamp onto card using vintage sepia ink.

2. Colour in sunflowers using watercolour pencils, shading where necessary.

3. Using vintage sepia ink, stamp the sunflowers along the top and bottom edges of the card blank.

4. Cut a piece of Pinecone card to measure 16.5cm x 8.5cm.

5. Cut a piece of Beeswax cardstock 16cm x 8cm; stick onto Pinecone cardstock and then adhere to card blank.

6. Cut a strip of striped cardstock to measure 18cm x 7cm and adhere across the centre of the card.

7. Matt sunflower image onto a piece of Pinecone cardstock using 3D foam pads and adhere centrally onto the card.

8. Tie a piece of brown tulle around the bottom of the card and make a knot.

9. Cover the centre of the sunflowers with Wink of Stella clear glitter and leave to dry.

10. To finish, add two bronze rhinestones to the top corners of the card.

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of white cardstock to measure 12cm x 9cm. Stamp the image onto the card with black ink. Colour with pencils.

2. Cut a piece of Echo Park cardstock 14.5cm x 10cm and adhere to front of card.

3. Adhere stamped image to the front of the card by placing narrow double sided tape along both sides and the bottom of the card. This way you will create a pocket for the tag to go in.

4. Die cut a tag from a piece of kraft cardstock and trim to 9.5cm in length to fit in the pocket.

5. Die cut Happy Birthday words from blue cardstock and stick onto the tag. Tie some tulle on the top of the tag.

6. Die cut flowers, shape the petals and stick onto the card.

7. Finish by adding liquid pearls or glitter glue to the center of the flowers.

This design of card is great for occasions such as birthdays and could even have a gift card attached to the tag which the recipient can pull out and receive.

Instructions:

1. Take a square card blank and stamp the images onto the card using black ink. Colour with watercolour pencils. Add some grass using the watercolour pencils along the bottom of the card.

2. Die cut the Stitched Tulips onto the front of the card and then die cut the tulip heads again from pink spotty paper. 

3. Cut a square piece of green card and stick this behind the card on the inside. Position the tulip heads back inside the white card.

4. Cut a piece of green card to fit across the top of the card. Die cut using the Marianne lace border die on one side. Adhere in place on the top of the card.

5. Stamp wording onto the green card.

Instructions:

1. Die cut Marianne Lace Doily from white cardstock and the doily background from Bazzill Green Tea.

2. Stamp the bear and flowers in black ink. Colour with watercolour pencils. Stamp the leaves using Shabby Shutters ink pad.

3. Place the die cut back into the die and use embossing mats to add embossed detail through your die cuting machine.

4. Adhere the white decorated doily onto the green background.

5. Emboss the leaves on a piece of Heidi coloured cardstock. Swipe with a white ink pad. Adhere to the bottom of the inside of the card.

6. Fold the front of the card in half to create an easel card and adhere the decorated panel on it.

7. Die cut the banner and stamp sentiment.

8. Fold banner and stick at the bottom of the card. Add flowers and use glitter glue to finish.

This design of card is a great alternative to a traditional card blank and with the characters included in the Stampendous Spring Short Stack you can create cards for many different occasions.

Instructions:

1. Cut a tag from white card and stamp the design on the cardstock with black ink. Die cut the tag topper from Kachina and stick to the top of the tag. Colour the stamped design with pencils.

2. Cut a piece of white cardstock 12cm x 6.5cm to cover half of the base of the card. Emboss with Anja's Circle embossing folder.

3. Cut a piece of patterned paper 12cm x 6.5cm to cover the bottom half of the card base.

4. Cut a strip of brown card 12cm x 4cm and die cut the heart border from it.

5. Cut a piece of Kachina card 4.5cm x 2.5cm and stamp wording onto it. Use a scor-bug to add embossed dots and join using a white pen.

6. Use a blue pen to add detail to the embossed dots on the white card.

7. Stamp a butterfly onto white cardstock, colour with pencils and cut around.

8. Assemble the card as shown and add some glitter glue and a piece of twine to the top of the tag to finish.

Hi bloggers, we are sharing with you another Create & Take today which is a response to how some of us have been feeling at Crafts U Love HQ. We have all seemed to have suffered from a cold/flu bug over the pass few weeks so we felt a 'Get Well Soon' card fitted the current situation.

So let's get started.....

Instructions:

1. Stamp wording, umbrella and bird onto a white card blank.

2. Stamp umbrella onto the Echo Park patterned papers and cut around and stick onto the umbrella design on the card.

3. Colour the bird with watercolour pencils.

4. Die cut two of the Stitched Clouds, one from patterned paper and another from a plain paper. Stick the two together and trim the edges to fit on the card. Adhere to the bottom of the card.

5. Add glitter glue to finish if desired.

So there you have it, a simple yet effective Get Well Soon card, which is quick and easy to put together, perfect to give to someone who is feeling a bit under the weather.

1. Die cut Mother Goose and Her Goslings from coconut swirl and colour with Scattered Straw and Old Paper ink pads. Colour beaks and feet with orange pencil and add a small black dot for the eyes.

2. Die cut large lily pond leaf and Cattails from Hilary cardstock. Colour the ends of the cattails in 2 shades of brown pencil.

3. Die cut largest flower from French Vanilla, medium flower from Chiffon and small flower from Apricot cardstock.

4. Cut Maja paper to 4.25" x 4.25" and a strip to 1" x 4.25".

5. Cut a piece of coconut swirl to 4.5" x 4.5" and edge with inks.

6. Stamp wording onto card with black ink and assemble the card as shown.

Instructions:-

1. Take a piece of White Bazzill card stock and fold in half, large enough to create a card base big enough for the large label die.

2. Position the die onto the fold so that it will create a folded card.

3. Stamp the flower onto folded card to help you know where to position the paper piecing. Stamp the flower head onto orange spotted card, the middle of the flower onto yellow card stock and the stem onto green patterned card stock.

4. Cut around all pieces and stick into place on the card.

5. Cut a strip of orange card to measure 3.5 x 0.5 inches and stamp the Sorry It's Late wording.

6. Cut tag from green patterned paper and stamp the poem wording onto it and stick inside the card.

7. Finish by adding glitter glue, ribbon and a sunflower gem.

This card is a great alternative to using a traditional card blank and is fun for lots of different occasions!
