Create & Take: Purple Flutter


Hi bloggers, we have another beautiful Create & Take card for you today, featuring the new Butterfly stamp set from Studio Light.

So let's get started...

Products:

White Pencil
Dot Stamps

Instructions:

1. Cut a strip of Wisteria cardstock to measure 5cm x 13.5cm and stamp with butterflies. Colour the butterflies with a white pencil. Stick this to the inside of the card.

2. Cut a thin strip of glitter cardstock and stick to the left of the butterfly panel.

3. Stamp a butterfly onto the front of the card using Wilted Violet distress ink pad and stamp wording with black ink.

4. Cut off approx. 5.7cm from the right side of the front of the card.

5. Stamp the largest butterfly onto lilac cardstock and colour with white pencils. Cut around and place onto the front of the card.

6. Stamp some dots onto the card using Wilted Violet distress ink. Stamp off the first impression onto some scrap paper to make the ink colour lighter when stamping onto the card.

7. Finally add some glitter glue to finish.

Of course photos that feature beach/boats/harbour scenery will work perfectly with this layout.
Photos can be added easily to your layouts after the class if you are unable to bring photos with you.

Create & Take: Underwater Wishes


Hi bloggers, today we have a beautiful sea life themed Create & Take card using the Seahorse, Shells and Seaweed die set by Sweet Dixie and also the Memory Box Stitched Happy Birthday Rectangle. 

So let's get started...

Products Used:

Bazzill Basics Dotted Kraft 12 x 12 Cardstock
Silver Glitter Card

Instructions:

1. Die cut the Seahorse from Apricot cardstock, shells from light blue and the Seaweed from green cardstock. 

2. Apply a small amount of Minc screen ink to the edges of the Seahorse. Once dry apply some holographic foil and put through the Minc foil applicator.

3. Apply a small amount of Nuvo mousse to the shells and seaweed.

4. Cut a piece of patterned paper to fit the base of the card. Cut a small strip of paper that will go across the middle of the card. Crumple fold this strip to add a bit of texture.

5. Die cut Happy Birthday Frame from brown cardstock. Layer a piece of white cardstock behind the frame and add a bit of distress ink.

6. Cut a tiny strip of the dotted kraft cardstock and adhere to the bottom of the card.

7. Assemble as per the picture above and add three bubbles and some string to finish.

This is such a wonderful card for the summer season and is ideal for both male and female birthdays.

Create & Take: Cheery Chirps


Hi bloggers, we've got another Create & Take card to share with you today featuring one of the new stamps from Penny Black and and some Marianne and Sweet Dixie dies. 

So let's get started...

Products Used:

Echo Park Easter Words 12 x 12 Cardstock

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of white cardstock to measure 12cm x 9cm. Stamp the image onto the card with black ink. Colour with pencils.

2. Cut a piece of Echo Park cardstock 14.5cm x 10cm and adhere to front of card.

3. Adhere stamped image to the front of the card by placing narrow double sided tape along both sides and the bottom of the card. This way you will create a pocket for the tag to go in.

4. Die cut a tag from a piece of kraft cardstock and trim to 9.5cm in length to fit in the pocket.

5. Die cut Happy Birthday words from blue cardstock and stick onto the tag. Tie some tulle on the top of the tag.

6. Die cut flowers, shape the petals and stick onto the card.

7. Finish by adding liquid pearls or glitter glue to the center of the flowers.

This design of card is great for occasions such as birthdays and could even have a gift card attached to the tag which the recipient can pull out and receive.

Create & Take: Anniversary Flowers


Hi bloggers, it's time to review last week's Create & Take which is this beautiful Anniversary card using the new Stampendous Anniversary Wish stamp.

So let's get started....

Products Used:


Instructions:

1. Ink up the stamp with two shades of green Memento ink. The lighter shade on the outside border and the darker green for the words in the middle. Stamp in the middle of the front of the card blank.

2. Stamp corner images with black ink onto separate white card and cut around and colour with the green and coral distress ink pads.

3. Colour the small flowers on the main card with peeled paint being careful not to use too much water so not to soak through the card.

4. Colour hearts with coral ink pad, add some gold shimmer using a brush. Add a small bit of gold shimmer to the center of the flowers, once again not using too much water.

5. Position the corner pieces over the design using 3D foam pads.

6. Emboss strips of Green Tea cardstock with the X Stitch embossing folder and swipe with some gold mousse using your finger.

7. Finish by adding some tulle along the top and tying a bow.

This card is great for any anniversary occasion and the stamp gives you the ability to colour the design in the colours of your choice.

Create & Take: Butterfly Lantern


Hi bloggers, today we are sharing with you last week's Create & Take using the new Sizzix Butterfly Lantern die. This adorable 3D miniature lantern would look perfect as a table decoration with a little LED candle placed inside.

So let's get started...

Products Used:


Instructions:

1. Die cut four of the side panels from Stonehenge cardstock and GENTLY swipe a small amount of mousse with a dauber over the card. *This is meant to give just a light hint of shimmer and not a total cover up so use sparingly with a sponge.*

2. Die cut solid butterfly from the Maja cardstock, detail butterfly from orange bazzill. Swipe edges with Ripe Persimmon ink pad.

3. Die cut sprig first from Parakeet cardstock and then just the flower part from orange. Swipe edges of flower with Candied Apple ink pad.

4. Assemble the lantern by sticking the tabs together, make sure you fold along all score lines before assembling. Add the handle to the top of the lantern and then stick the butterfly, flowers, sprig to one side of the lantern.

5. Finish by adding a gem, glitter glue and some Nuvo drops.

This die set is not just limited to making the 3D lantern you can also use the dies to design a card also. Check out Caz's sample card below.....
