NEW PRODUCTS

We have some lovely Joy stamps and dies in stock today and we think these are going to be a big hit.  The stamps and dies are the same in design and will work well together,(they are not sized the same, so designed to compliment each other rather than fit each other) using the stamp as a background  and the dies as the foreground.  Or of course on their own so all our crafting customers can choose which they prefer.  We can not wait to see what you all create with them.

Why not try brayering a bright sky or chalking a soft background?

Below is one of the designs, check out our WHAT'S NEW page for all the designs... Oh and check out the adorable alphabets too, small sized idea for cards.

COMING SOON TO THE BLOG
Lots of lovely cards from Charry and Alex's recently classes.
These cards will amaze you, Charry and Alex are truly very talented.
Hope to add these tomorrow.

A bright card

A bright and happy Penny Black card today made by Caz.

Caz loves Penny Black designs and bold and bright colours.  The new Imaginisce Good Dog papers as well as perfect for all your doggie cards and pages has some lovely bright patterns that are perfect for any cards.

Here Caz has matched the papers with a Penny Black stamp set called Sweet and Cute and coloured with Distress ink pads.

The leaves are made using the sprig in the Marianne Button Flower set
and the ladybirds are from Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hope this brightens your day on this drizzly cold Monday.

Create and Take Friday 15th Feb

This weeks create and take is using a lovely stamp from  Penny Black called Field of Poppies 4308K you can view the Penny Black range HERE.

We have used watercolour pencils to colour this in, or you could use chalks or distress ink pads or markers to achieve the same effect.  Added a piece of twine and a Hero Arts sentiment to finish.  We've also add a touch of splattering to the card as well.  Come along tomorrow any time between 10:30 am and 3pm and take a seat.  Full written instructions, a cup of tea or coffee are included for just £3

This card idea was put together by Caz with her inspiration coming from a lady called Alexandra sirugue-mac leod who was very kind to give us permission to use her card as our inspiration
Alexandra had posted her card in the Penny Black Flickr Group.  Thank you Alex!

Charry's Concertina Book class -

Charry's concertina class has been re-scheduled to Tue 12th February. It is now a 3 hour class creating a gatefold concertina class.

This card caused quite a stir when we had it on display and everyone was disappointed to have missed it, so it is back by popular demand.  In true Charry style she didn't want to make the exact same card so has made this version into a gatefold and used different products to make it even more stunning than before.

Vintage, Shabby Chic, Haberdashery and oh so pretty.  The question is could you give it away?

So if you missed the last class here's your chance to book on this one. Limited spaces left so call now on 01293-863576 to secure your place.

Very vintage

Sue Millard is our resident vintage expert, she has one of the best jobs in Crafts U Love in that she is the first to see all the new goodies arriving in Goods In and she makes the most beautiful vintage creations so we had to get her on our teaching list. Tuesday 19th February class is approaching fast you will be making a vintage mini album perfect to document a special day out, occasion or family history.

You will learn how to make the distressed cover, to me it looks like some very old parchment or leather but Sue assures me its card under there. The whole book looks like something that has come out of a hidden tea chest in the loft.  Perfect for those that love the vintage look.

Above are a few pictures of two of Sues books that she has made to give you an idea
on the sort of thing you will be making during this class.

Class is running TUESDAY 19th February from 10:00am - 2:30pm

There are a few places left so call today to avoid disappointment

Made on the cameo

As well as cards and scrapbook pages the Cameo and Portrait are fantastic machines for making 3D items and also Home Decor projects with the vinyl.

Below is a floral paper arrangement made using a couple of the flower files from the Silhouette store, these files are just 65p each and once purchased are used by you as many times as you want and in whatever sizes you want.  Here I have used some green washi tape on some thick wire to make the stems, add some leaves and you have an instant fun splash of colour for even the dullest winters days.

A simple but effective little piece of vinyl was added to my wall here next to a new picture frame
(yes so new it hadn't been filled yet)  This file again was purchased from the Silhouette store for just 65p.  This file was called "Bird on Tree Design ID #4395"

It was cut in the leaf green premium vinyl.  Remember when ordering your vinyl you will need to use the transfer paper which makes adding your vinyl to your surfaces much much easier.  The vinyl adds a lovely touch to plain walls and there are so many designs to suit all tastes.
