Vintage Bauble Class

Hi bloggers, today we want to share with you Sue M's vintage class from Tuesday making some stunning vintage inspired bauble decorations.

Everyone got to make two baubles plus one box so that you could make one to keep for yourself and also one to giveaway as a gift.

To make the bauble, Sue used an ordinary plain glass bauble and used gold and silver GildenGlitz leaves to cover the bauble. Sue added a small vintage image with a touch of Stickles glitter glue to finish them off. This would be a perfect present idea for loved ones as you could use a photo to personalise the bauble.

To make the box, Sue used the new WRMK 1-2-3 Punch Board and picked out some beautiful vintage papers to match the style of the decoration. Sue also made the bow from the 1-2-3 punch board as well.

Tim Holtz Vintage Folio Part 2

Hi bloggers, today we want to share with you Sue M's completed Tim Holtz Mini Folio. Back in March Sue held part 1 of the Vintage Folio project where she filled the album with beautiful papers and gave it that distressed look using Tim Holtz distress inks. This week saw part 2 of the Vintage Folio project and Sue has done a fantastic job filling the folio with gorgeous paper embellishments and photos, so let's take a little look inside.....

These folios are a great way to scrapbook your photos and you can use any configuration of layouts, just pick your papers and embellishments and you're away. You can find the Tim Holtz Mini Folio here along with many other Tim Holtz accessories.

Tim Holtz Vintage Folio

Good morning bloggers! Today we wanted to share with you Sue M's project from her class last week. Sue's latest creation is a Vintage Folio uisng one of Tim Holtz's Mini Folios. Sue also used the new range of Kaisercraft papers from 'Betsy's Couture' collection which have some fabulous vintage imagery in wonderful blue and brown tones, perfect for this project. Sue's class is a two part workshop where she will finish off the inside of the folio with pockets, tags, photos and more. We wanted to share some pictures of the folio so far.....

The second part of Sue's class will be in April so make sure you keep an eye out for our blog post in April to review the rest of Sue's folio.

Nautical Beach Hut and Butterfly Cards

Morning bloggers! Today we want to share with you the creations from last week's classes including Sue's Vintage Beach Hut and Alex's Blooms and Butterflies cards.

Let's start with Sue's Vintage Beach Hut.....

Sue used some beautiful nautical themed die cuts, including the Cheery Lynn lighthouse and Seaside Treasures from Memory Box as well as some wonderful nautical stamps from the new Woodware collection. Of course, Sue couldn't have designed this project without a few old vintage seaside photos which just finishes off this beautiful beach hut.

Saturday's class saw the creation of Alex's Blooms and Butterflies cards.....

To make these cards Alex used the Stampendous Butterfly and Hydrangea stamp and die sets. Alex used a range of embossing techniques to help create some of the backgrounds as well as vellum and distress inks to create these stunning colours on the butterflies and hydrangeas.

Sue M's Vintage Christmas Configuration Book

Christmas came early this week at Crafts U Love with Sue M's Vintage Christmas Configuration Book class. This class was fully booked with everyone waiting in anticipation to see what they would be making and taking home with them that day.

Filled with yummy christmas papers from the new FabScraps range and an adorable mini house included, this book is sure to look fabulous on a shelf or centre piece on a table this Christmas.

The front of the book was decorated in a beautiful damask patterned paper (FabScraps Christmas Joy Collection), with a distressed vintage poinsettia (Tim Holtz Tattered Poinsettia) placed in the bottom corner.

A closer look inside the book you can see that Sue added a glass bottle at the top with a 'Christmas Wishes ' label wrapped round, filled with glitter and sparkle. The tiny window below features a stamped image on the inside, made to look as though you are looking out onto a snowy winter night.

This adorable little house (Marianne Christmas Village High Collectables Die & Stamp Set) at the bottom of the box was transformed into a 3D embellishment using a paper gusset in between the two die cut houses. Add a little bit of lace for curtains and some snow edges to enhance the look and feel of the house. This section of the box was finished off with a 'Joy to the World' (Teresa Collins) stamp.

There is so much more you can add to this box to make it your own Christmas piece that you get out year after year to display Christmas ephemera and ornaments or even photos and memories of Christmasses before.

Very vintage

Sue Millard is our resident vintage expert, she has one of the best jobs in Crafts U Love in that she is the first to see all the new goodies arriving in Goods In and she makes the most beautiful vintage creations so we had to get her on our teaching list. Tuesday 19th February class is approaching fast you will be making a vintage mini album perfect to document a special day out, occasion or family history.

You will learn how to make the distressed cover, to me it looks like some very old parchment or leather but Sue assures me its card under there. The whole book looks like something that has come out of a hidden tea chest in the loft.  Perfect for those that love the vintage look.
