Happy Birthday Luke!

I thought I would share this card with you that my mum made (lyn) for my son's 10th birthday. He has just got his grade for his red belt in karate so this was a theme for his card. She used the Paper Doll Cricut cartridge to make the suit and Penny Black Zoo Alphabet for the letter 'L'

Create and Take

I was feeling in a black and white mood today so I have used the MME Medow Lark Paper range and Lindsay Masons Butterfly stamp on aceate to create this very simple card

Robots now

This was made with the New Cricut Robotz cartridge. A great cartridge for boys. A lot of inking the edges and decorated with the Nailheads that can be found here

Caz said at first she thought the robots were a bit scary with all the parts, but for those less adventurous or those just wanting a quicker make the RETRO button makes a simpler robot with less layers. Her 7 yr old son make one using this function so it seems easy enough. Once cut and assembled its all in the details make with ink pads and a white gel pen making the die cut look much more interesting.

Create and Take

Here is Friday's Create and Take. I like this little sheep with his wooly jumper and the blank expression on his face. This stamp is great for Happy Birthday to EWE or Thank EWE cards. He is new from Marianne Designs and is one in a collection of ardorable animal stamps. I have also used Oscar paper from Basic Grey Green at Heart collection and Prima Country Elegance Flowers

Another Critter Card

Here is another card made with the Create a critter cartridge designed by Caz. She has also used the Design Studio to create this card. The bee and hive open out on the front and there is a square of card at the back. This was created by using the weld feature on the Design Studio. By using the Design Studio you can maximise your Cricut machine by rotating, flipping and welding cartridge images together. I have a feeling there will be a few more of these cards popping up soon as I think Caz has been bitten by the Cricut bug!

Caz also used some punches from us, Woodware Grass and a Woodware Flower. The papers are from her own stash.

Magazine Project

I was asked to do a few cards for Creative Cardmaking Magazine on a love theme so I chose the Miss Anya Love & My Guy Ian Sets. I even made the front page which I was very pleased about. I am not great with Copics but had a go so these 3 cards took me all day to make! We have sold out of the My Guy Ian stamp set but he is due back in stock on Wednesday and a couple of new ones too.
