Kids Halloween Fun

Today being a Wednesday in the school holidays means that I (Caz) get a chance to play with the kids and make a little create and take especially for the younger ones. We decorated these cute little paper bags with the Mimi Halloween set, all the kids (and Mums and Grandmas) did a great job!

A simple design but I have to remember this is just little ones making this and also its a create and take and not a class. Of course at the end of it they had to visit me at the till where "trick or treat" was chanted and maybe I found them something nice :)

We are kicking off with Caz (The Bunting Queen!) and she will be making a beautiful Christmas Bunting so be sure not to miss this one. We are pround to annouce Jacqui Dennis who will be running some Copic Colour classes over the next couple of months. Caz & Jacqui make some amazing projects so click the links to see their blogs.

We would also like to welcome Karen Maccoy who has joined the Crafts U Love team. She is working Saturdays in the shop with Caz and Karen is a huge Cricut fan and anything Tim Holtzy. She will be taking a few classes next year so look out for those!

Inspired to use my Mimi by Sues lovely Mimi card yesterday. The sparkle on her hat is created using "shaved ice". All items of course available from the Crafts U Love shop.

I have used the lovely Cherish Martha Stewart punch on both sides. This comes in a set with the edge and corner punch.

We made this cute Little bundle of joy card using the Penny Black Baby Hammock Stamp & Gingham Pink papers. We paper pieced the hammock and decoupaged the daises, teddy bear & butterfly. The 'Little Bundle of Joy' stamp is from Imaginisce and only 99p

As spring is in the air I have made a little spring card with Magnolia flower stamp (not online but available in the shop) and Nestie Labels 19. I used LePlume pens to colour in the flowers and Jane Gill's Script Stamp for the sentiment.
Create and Take is not on for the next two weeks as we are shut due to the bank holidays. But Kids Create & Take is on Wednesday and they will be making a little Easter surprise so don't miss that one.

Here is the boys version of the card. I re mounted this one onto blue card as we were low on the yellow. Many thanks to the Mums and Grandmas who brought their kids in today for the create and take. Next week we'll be making a lovely Easter Project, perfect for an Easter goody or two! If you feel like coming along next Wednesday booking is not required but to give us some idea on how many kids are coming it would be great for you to give us a quick ring on Tuesday so I know how many to prepare for.

Tomorrow is the first of our two week Easter special Create and take for the kids and we will be making a cute little card using some of the Prima stamp sets. These sets are fantastic value. We will be adding a little Easter sentiment by way of a stamp or peel off but I haven't managed that bit yet. We got one design for a little girl and one for a little boy. Next week we'll be making a 3d project, the kids wont want to miss that one!

As it is Red Nose day on Friday we will be selling homemade cupcakes & cookies (as long as the kids don't get hold of them first!) and all donations will go to the charity. Sorry I have not blogged much lately things have been so hectic at Crafts U Love. Because of the snow we have had a back log of orders as Royal Mail didn't collect from us for 3 days and deliveries were held up so we were waiting for products to come in. But we are back to normal now and Create & Take will go ahead tomorrow. Here is a couple of cards made from the latest Imaginisce Papers & a little Present stamp for 99p!

We are back from the NEC and had such a great time. I would like to thank the ladies who helped us out on our stand, Jenny, Bernice, Jackie & Gill, it was great to meet you all.

Charry demonstrated on the Crafts U Love stand and made some beautiful cards which I will post soon. Charry is so creative I am sure you will be inspired by her stunning creations.

Tracy was a trooper last week as usual and didn't stop all week - thanks Trace!

We were also joined by our friends from Silhouette Europe Chris & Christa. They & Tracy run the Silhouette stand and lots of you went away with some great bundle offers.

It was also so lovely to meet lots of our customers and put some faces to names.

Hopefully we will see you again next year!

Now tomorrows Create & Take has been made by my good mum, Lyn. She has made this great money wallet which could be also used for vouchers.

Sorry I haven't posted for a while, it has been very busy at Crafts U Love. At the moment we are getting ready for the NEC next month and busy making lots of sample cards & demo boards. We had our Christmas event on the 9th which went really well with lots of you supporting our brilliant designers who came up with some lovely cards which I will post over the weekend - Promise!
We also have a little furry friend turn up a couple of weeks ago called Davina. To cut a long story short she seems to have been abandoned so we have been feeding her and made her a little bed until the Cat Rescue can come and collect her, which hopefully will be this weekend.
Create & Take this week is one for the men. We have used the Wild Rose Studio Stamp ' Time for a Pint' and the Paula Pascual Stamp Set 'All Year Round' .

This weeks Create & Take was using another embossing folder, Crafts Too Christmas Holly Embossing Frame. These cards are so simple, just emboss gold mirri card, stamp a sentiment on some cardstock and stick in the frame, punch out some holly and finish off with some red gems or red stickles. Simples!

Welcome Back Molly!

It was great to see Molly yesterday at Create & Take. Molly is a very long standing customer who has been very ill lately and has been in hopsital for 3 months. Yesterday she was looking very well and it was really good to see her again.

We made a pretty card on Friday using the new Prima papers, which are absolutely gorgeous! And used the large Retro Flower & medium Daisy punches to create flowers with the Marianne Frame & Swirls Die.

Cupcake Heaven...

I am feeling really fat tonight after scoffing loads of cakes and butter cream icing that we made today, well I needed to check it tasted OK! Luke wanted to make some cup cakes for his teachers when he goes back to school tomorrow. He was supposed to take them in on the last day of term but both teachers left a day early for the Summer hols so he missed them. Anyway we made some vanilla & chocolate cupcakes and decorated with sprinkles & pearl dust. My mum had bought me some edible rice paper and we punched out some shapes. As you can see Luke made a little forest scene. They looked really good in the Heaven boxes and we finished them off with a little Nestie Tag.
